Leading a team is NEVER easy and sometimes the entrepreneur in us can take over and before we know it the entire team is running in all different directions and no one seems to know the ultimate goal(s), purpose or vision of the company besides making more money.

One of my favorite reads on leading a team is a book by Patrick Lencioni titled The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive. In fact nearly everyone I coach is asked to read this book along with everyone on their team.

If you haven't read anything from Patrick before, the books are very light (told in a story format) and shouldn't take anyone more than a couple of readings to get through them. Of course, it's most effective if everyone reads it at the same time and discusses the contents of it AND implements the strategies.
