Perhaps one of the biggest pain-in-the-butt issues in our industry is agent insurance licensing and continuing education credits. Well, we have two great resources for you - NIPR and NAIC. Instead of waiting on-hold with your local State's office, you can use both of these websites to expedite your requests.

NIPR - The National Insurance Producer Registry's website is a great site to use for electronic licensing. Not all states allow this but almost half of them do. It's a simple process and saves you and your staff the headache of writing a check, doing a paper application and following up on it. Most of the time, you can even print your license from the website. As a warning, the site is not the most user friendly but don't get frustrated with it. You can update your address and renew resident and non-resident licenses right through the website.

NAIC - The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has a page on their website that links you to each State's insurance website. The link below takes you directly to that page. This is great if you're researching your CE credits since most States have an electronic record of your current CE credits.
